A few days ago at dinner time Jimmy was eating so much food I asked him if he had a hollow leg. He just looked at me kind of funny and went about eating. Today he was taking a drink of water and he started choking. He looked up at me and said, "it went down the wrong tube and into my leg!" He believes everything we tell him and he takes it very literally!

The other day I was at the computer trying to set up my blog and I was totally oblivious to everything that was going on around me. Little did I know that Ben was right behind me removing the screws to the tops of my dining room chairs. I finally realized what was going on but by that time the screws were nowhere to be found. I asked Ben where the screws were. He said, "gone." I asked him where they went. He said, "in the tiger." I asked him where the tiger is. He said, "in the screws." We went back and forth like this a little bit. I even tried to go on a tiger hunt with him. We went all over the house and outside too but we never found the tiger. So I still don't know where the screws went. Oh well, I'm sure they will turn up soon. Blogging is not only addictive but it is becoming hazardous for my family too!

Funny Things Kids Say

We were at church and during the sacrament I was talking to Luke about Jesus. I told him that Jesus bled and died for us. Luke looked at me with a very concerned look and said, "Did Heavenly Father give Jesus a band-aid when he was bleeding?"

We were about to walk out the door so I told Luke to go potty. He came out of the bathroom saying, "I can't go! The batteries in my pee pee are dead!"

After Ben finished a big meal he said, "my tummy is so big and full I look like Grandpa now!" (sorry dad).

Ben pointed to a picture of the prophet and said, "That's President Monckley!"

We have a saying in our house. It's "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit!" But Ben has his own version of this. He says "you get what you WANT and you don't throw a fit!"

Jimmy said that he is allergic to babies. I asked him how he knew and he said that he gets sick when he smells them.

Ben asked me for another piece of halloween candy and I said, "Mommy is ready for the halloween candy to be gone" and Ben said, "Yea, gone in my mouth!"

We were driving past the gas station sign and Ben said, "I see a lowercase 5 on that sign."

I was talking to Jimmy about election day and asking him if his teacher voted and he said that she was "absent" that day. (I finally realized what he meant. She had just mailed in an absentee ballot.)

Ben put a whole bunch of toilet paper in the garbage and I told him that is a no, no. He said, "no it's a yes, yes!"

I tell Jimmy on a regular basis that needs to talk nicely. He yelled something across the room to me and I gave him the look that said I didn't like the tone of his voice and he said, "I was yelling nicely!"

Jimmy and I are listening to "Give Said the Little Stream" and Jimmy says "How does it talk?" I said "How does what talk?" He said, "The stream, it doesn't have a mouth, how can it talk?"
