Learning About Colors

I have had so much fun teaching Luke's little preschool class. In a few weeks it will be coming to an end:( However, I have a feeling that next year I will be teaching in some form or another because, unfortunately, LAUSD is cutting the pre-K program district wide. So I'll either do it myself or do a co-op again. That's okay though because I absolutely LOVE doing it!
A few weeks ago we had a fun preschool activity on colors. There are SO many fun things that you can do with kids and colors. We went on a color hunt outside and used the stuff that we found to make this color wheel collage.

They got to mix colors with droppers.
We found lots of fun colors outside when we went on our hunt.

A few days later we used fruit loops to make necklaces and patterns. Luke wanted to use them to write his name. And, of course, he ate a few along the way.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Did you know Dr. Seuss turned 107 on March 2nd? We had a great week celebrating Dr. Seuss. At the boys school they have fun activities for each day that week. On Monday they wear green for Green Eggs and Ham. On Tuesday they get to wear crazy socks for Fox in Socks. Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday so they get to dress up in their favorite wacky outfit. On Thursday is Pajama Day and on Friday is hat day in honor of The Cat in the Hat. So much fun!!
Even though Luke doesn't go to Clover he still joined in on all of the festivities, including pajama day. I actually took him to Target in his PJ's that day. He loved it. When he said his prayers that week he would pray for Dr. Seuss in heaven.
On Wednesday, which was Dr. Seuss' actual birthday, we had green eggs and ham for breakfast while Jimmy read us the book.

Ben's First Lost Tooth

Ben lost his first tooth!! He was so excited and luckily the tooth fairy didn't forget to come this time. I don't know what the deal is with that tooth fairy! Sometimes she's such a slacker! Does anybody else have the same problem? I'm sure it's not just us;)

UCLA Women's gymnastics meet

On President's Day the kids were out of school so we decided to get tickets to the UCLA Women's gymnastics meet. It was so fun to watch. I have always loved watching gymnastics on TV and this is the first time that I have really seen it live. My camera couldn't get very many good pictures because the gymnasts were moving so fast. Did I mention how amazing they are?! Seriously, I don't know how people can jump and flip like that! Incredible! We had a blast! Oh yeah, and UCLA won! Go Bruins!!

This is some random guy from the TV show I Carly. I couldn't tell you his name. I'm sure there are many teenage girls out there who could help me out.

Of course, we have to go say hi to the Bruin bear if we are on campus! The boys make sure that we NEVER forget that!
Ben really had the gymnastics spirit after we left the meet. He was bouncing and jumping everywhere! They had so much fun!

Disneyland

We FINALLY made it to Disneyland!

Why is it that I can never get all of my boys to look at the camera at the same time!?

It's not every day that you get to fight Darth Vader and Darth Maul and win!
