Jimmy had a huge project this year in second grade. He had to choose a dinosaur and make a dinorama which shows the dinosaur in their environment. He choose his favorite dinosaur, the T-rex. In addition to the research and building of the dinorama he also had to write a report on his dinosaur. Even though this project was very labor intensive Jimmy loved doing it. He loved reading the books and thinking of all the cool things that he could put in his dinorama. He added some really nice touches, like a mirror lake and a flying pteranadon as well as a sun that really lights up. He also enjoyed making the salt dough volcano. He really wanted to add baking soda and vinegar to it to make it erupt but it got everything too wet. I love the excitement he had for this project. He has always been so naturally curious. It's one of his many gifts and I really hope that he can keep that curiosity and desire to learn his whole life!!
