We did get to see what it was like to have a sister when we got to watch my niece Ellie for a week while my sister went to Hawaii. She is a few months older than Luke and such a cutie. It was fun to have her here but our apartment became very claustrophobic with four kids running around. I didn't take many pictures while she was here but here are some from the day I took Luke and Ellie to zoo.

Sister for a Week
So my boys keep bugging me to have another baby. They say that they want a sister and they want her to be named Leia. That way we will have Luke and Leia in true Star Wars fashion:) While I think that they are really cute with their request I'm not sure if it's going to happen. Right now, three seems like enough to me. Who knows, I might change my mind though.

More Christmas Fun
I'm happy to say that this is my final post about Christmas. All in all, we had a fun time. Since we came home the kids have asked us probably like 50 times if we could go back to Utah. They love visiting friends and family!

This kids just seems to run everywhere he goes. Jimmy is so funny to bowl with. After hurling the ball he usually just turns around and runs back. He doesn't even care to see where it goes. Funny kid:)

Luke had a great time wrestling with his cousins. He loves to wrestle with anyone who will give him the time of day and Brayden and Tyler were more than happy to.

I hope these boys are as excited about shoveling walks when they are teenagers if we live somewhere that it actually snows. I'm kind of crossing my fingers for somewhere that we won't have to worry about shoveling the walks;)

We were so fortunate to be able to visit our friends the Neilsen's. They are a great family that used to be our neighbors. Gavin is a great friend to Jimmy and it's so cute because they still stay in contact through email.

Christmas Morning
Christmas morning was lots of fun! The kids seemed to be happy with all they got. I love Jimmy's toothless grin. The best was when he sang "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!"
Luke really was happy on Christmas. He just often looks mad in pictures because he has sensitive eyes and the flash always makes him squint, which results in this grumpy face.

I love it when Jim helps them with their legos because all the little pieces make me kind of crazy! That's what dads are for, right!

I decided to make the kids home made gifts this year. For Jimmy I made an outer space blanket for his bed and a photo book with all of his school projects from preschool to first grade. I thought that he might think it was kind of lame but he loved it!
I tried and tried but could not get this picture straight! Urrr! Oh well. I really wanted to make Ben a star wars blanket for his bed and I looked everywhere for Star Wars fabric but nobody sells it because of the trademark, so I just bought his blanket at Walmart. Much cheaper and easier and he loved it. He carried it around with him for the rest of the trip.

Jimmy was so excited because he made his brothers little dreidels with gold coins. It was so fun to see him excited about GIVING gifts this year and not just receiving them.

Christmas Pageant 2010
What's Christmas without the annual Ostler Christmas Pageant. I love it that we do this. It really helps us stay centered on the true meaning of Christmas. Craig and Sandy have great costumes too thanks to their many trips to Jerusalem. Jim and I got to play Joseph and Mary. Luke was a shepherd, Ben was an angel, and Jimmy was one of the wise men.
Joseph was feeling a little frazzled after his journey to Bethlehem. He forgot to comb his hair:)

The shepherd was feeling very tired by the end of the night (in case you couldn't tell.)

Ostler Family Christmas Party
Okay, it's definitely time to catch up on my blog. I'm sure very few people actually read this blog but that's okay because the reason I even have a blog is simply to document the events in our family. I have plans to make it into a blog book but that's kind of far down on my to do list. But one day I will do it.
So for Christmas this year we went to Utah. Despite some car trouble and sickness, we had a fun time. I think that next year we will be staying home for the holidays. It's just getting too hard to travel with kids at Christmas. While we were in Utah we went to the Ostler family party. There is like a gazillion people in Jim's family so it was crowded but we had a fun time catching up with people that we don't get to see very often.

Daniel got home from his mission in the Ukraine so it was great to be able to see him again and catch up with him. The kids enjoyed getting reacquainted with their uncle. He was so good with all of the nephews. He's going to make a great dad some day.
